Hartfield course hosts Oct. 17 Fall Classic Cup
The junior team, led by captains Drew Pitts and RD Johnson, reclaimed the Fall Classic Cup on Sunday, Oct. 17 at the Piankatank River Golf Club (PRGC) in Hartfield.
On Saturday, Oct. 16, the Best Ball results had the senior team over the junior team with an 8-4 score. The junior team, on the other hand, won the Preferred Drive-Alternate Shot with a 6.5-5.5 score and continued with a 8-4 Captain’s Choice Format score. The junior team took Saturday’s play with a 18.5-17.5 score.
The junior team outperformed the seniors in Individual Match Play on Day Two 13-11 and secured a 31.5-28.5 victory.
“Thank you to the junior captains and their counterpart senior captains, Randy Pollard and Joe Becht, who were great ambassadors for their respective teams,” a PRGC spokesman said.
