Does your child enjoy a challenge? Do you think he or she would like to learn how to skateboard? Many children, preteens and teens are gathering on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons in Locust Hill to hone their skills or give it a try.

“I love watching these young people help each other, give helpful hints and encourage each other to try something different,” said Ken Cleveland, one of the adults supervising on Wednesdays. Skateboards, ripstiks, scooters and a balance board are available for everyone to use. All are welcome to bring your own equipment including roller skates or roller blades.

The club meets across from Middlesex Elementary School on Wednesdays, 3-5 p.m. and on Sundays, noon-2 p.m. The address is 668 Philpot Road, Locust Hill.
