Middlesex school officials set goals
The Middlesex County School Board introduced a draft of a strategic six-year plan to the public at a board meeting Monday night. The school board and other school officials worked on the draft at a school board retreat held at Camp Piankatank in Hartfield on April 18.

12 Middlesex technology students earn state honors
Middlesex County Public School students in the Technology Student Association (TSA) competed and placed well at the Virginia TSA Technosphere 2013 State Leadership Conference at the Richmond Convention Center on May 3-5.

Middlesex schools select 2013 Teachers of the Year
In celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week, faculty and staff at each of the three Middlesex County schools recently honored Teachers of the Year. Candidates were nominated and finalists selected by their colleagues at each school.

Holland graduates from CNU
Amber Ellen Holland, a 2009 graduate of Middlesex High School, graduated from Christopher Newport University on May 11, 2013 with a BA degree in communications and minors in business administration and leadership studies.
