Bluegrass band to perform at New Hope Baptist
“Solid Rock Bluegrass Gospel” will perform at New Hope Memorial Baptist Church near Shacklefords on Sunday, March 14, beginning at noon with a covered dish luncheon. The music presentation will follow the Sunday service.

Black history events at Calvary
Calvary Baptist Church at Christchurch continued its celebration of black history last Sunday with a presentation from the church youth titled “Black Inventions/Inventors.” The church’s “African-American Slave Band” also performed and there was a hat fashion show (right).

Christianity’s ‘Family Tree’ to be studied
“If you’ve ever wanted to know what other denominations believe and why, this study will answer those questions,” said pastor Eric Vaudt. “We will be taking a look at Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, Anglicanism, Baptists, Pentecostalism and Methodism.”
