Friday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. join the folks at Saluda Baptist Church (SBC) for their monthly community movie night! The featured movie, “Extraordinary,” is based on a true marriage journey. Follow David Horton, a college professor and ultra-marathon runner, and his wife, Nancy, as they navigate the trials of health, running and family! Join the SBC foks for free pizza, popcorn, drinks and movie. Admission to view the movie is also free.

The Middlesex County Literary Union Session will convene at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Church View on Sunday, April 30, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Fred D. Holmes Jr., the pastor of Mount Zion, will deliver the message for the day. Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Hardyville will offer a drive-through food pantry on Saturday, April 22, from 9-11 a.m. Food recipients are asked to follow the parking cones as they turn into the church parking lot. You will need to bring a card with your name, address, number of people in the household, and telephone number on it. You will be asked to remain in your car during the check in and loading process. You will exit by following the parking cones around the rear of the church.

Located in Topping, Catholic Church of the Visitation’s prayer shawl ministry needs new knitters and crocheters! This loving ministry makes prayer shawls to demonstrate the physical support of the parish for those experiencing illness, grief or other difficulties, and for celebrating new life. Help can be provided for those wanting to learn and participate in this ministry.

Zoar Baptist Church (ZBC) in Deltaville Bible study classes are studying John from the New Testament on Sundays. Members invite you to try a class any Sunday at Zoar from 9 to 10 a.m. Zoar encourages participation in its Sunday morning studies at 9 a.m. and their weekly Women’s Study on Mondays at 11 a.m. and their weekly Men’s Study on Wednesdays at 9 a.m.

Members of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church of the Rappahannock will offer special drum circles 3-5 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month at Kilmarnock Town Centre Park. All are welcome — be sure to bring your percussion instruments. Drums will be provided to share.
