Town of Urbanna and the Urbanna Oyster Festival Foundation are co-hosting “May Daze in Urbanna” on Saturday, May 29, in Taber Park on Rappahannock Avenue and Bonner Street.
The events begin at 10 a.m. with a golf cart parade. Participants will gather in the parking lot of Unique Golf Carts at 391-C Hilliard St. adjacent to the Urbanna/IGA Market.
Parade organizers are expected to stage about 50 decorated golf carts. The parade will circulate through town and end at Taber Park. (For parade information, email jilldpill@gmail.com.)
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Taber Park there will be arts and crafts for sale, food vendors and a car show.
Classic car show participants will be directed to the area in Taber Park for car staging. Vehicle exhibitors should arrive and be in place by 10:45 a.m. at the latest.
A 50/50 raffle will be conducted and tickets will be on sale in the park.
Entertainment
From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be live entertainment in the park. Virginia-based Big Ray and the Kool Kats singers Eddie Sal and David Lacks…
