Deltaville Maritime Museum-Holly Point Nature Park season opener “Groovin’” concert postponed until governor’s COVID-19 related restrictions are lifted

The Show Goes On: From 2019, local blues guitarist Tom Euler and his band from the Memphis Blues Challenge semifinals perform on the “Groovin’ in the Park’s” Waterfront Stage at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park. The stage is currently in the process of being enlarged and refurbished to serve the 2020 season as soon as it is able to begin. Visitors are encouraged to come out to the park anytime dawn to dusk, exercise, get some fresh air and take a look. Please follow distancing and other governmental guidelines. (Photo by Bill Powell)

The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park have postponed their May 2 opening day “Elana Lisa and the Hot Mess” concert for the 2020 “Groovin’ in the Park” outdoor music series. The concert will be rescheduled for the first Saturday after the current restrictions are lifted that is mutually available for both the Waterfront Park and the band.

Elana and the band are raring to play for us. For a nice video of the group you can watch at home, go to its Facebook page, click videos and pick the promo video. Hot, hot, hot! Other great vids are there too.

The Maritime Park wants all of its members and friends to please, please, practice social distancing, limit travel, wear face masks in public and follow all other guidelines to stay safe and well. I know we all are looking forward…
