The Middlesex County School Board announced last week the three Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS) 2023-2024 teacher of the year honorees. The announcement came at the board’s May 13 regular monthly meeting at St. Clare Walker Middle School.
MCPS Superintendent Dr. Tracy Seitz said, “these teachers exemplify the priorities defined in our strategic plan by providing diverse educational opportunities that promote our students’ confidence, passion and responsibility.
“They provide a safe and supportive learning environment and create a respectful and supportive culture within our schools in partnership with our community,” said Dr. Seitz.
The three MCPS teachers of the year are Emma Buchanan, Middlesex Elementary School; Matthew Short, St. Clare Walker Middle School; and Ashley Holthouse, Middlesex High School.
