The Middlesex High School varsity Lady Charger softball team (13-4-1) finished the regular season in third place in Region 1A behind Chincoteague (12-3) and Essex (15-3). Last week’s final two games were rained out.
The Lady Chargers hosted Northumberland on Wednesday, May 22, in the first round of the Region 1A Tournament. The winner will play next week at the higher seed.
The Lady Chargers only losses this season came against AA King William twice, Rappahannock of Warsaw and Chincoteague.
Middlesex defeated higher ranked Essex this season in a 2-1 defensive game.
