The Middlesex County Parks and Recreation (MCPR) Department is sponsoring indoor pickleball play and instruction for the public at the Tom Carter Memorial Gymnasium at the Cooks Corner Office Complex at 2911 General Puller Highway (Route 33) in Cooks Corner.
The gym is open weekly for pickleball as follows:
- Tuesday, 9 a.m. to noon.
- Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon and beginner instruction is 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Equipment is provided by MCPR.
MCPR Coordinator Karen Reed said that the MCPR pickleball program has been very popular since it was recently introduced. The Tom Carter Memorial Gymnasium recently received an $830,000 refurbishment, which was approved by the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors.
