Christchurch football squad defeats Fishburne Acad. 40-14

Christchurch School’s Fighting Seahorses football team traveled to Waynesboro on Friday to play Fishburne Military School for the first time. The Raptors (formerly called the Caissons) fought valiantly, but CCS was able to return to Saluda with a 40-14 victory.

Friday’s win broke a three-game skid for the Seahorses, who lost to Nansemond Suffolk Academy, Atlantic Shores Christian School, and Blue Ridge throughout the month of September.

Christchurch got off to a fast start as they stopped the Raptors on their first drive, and soon had their offense rolling. As the first half came to a close, CCS had a 33-0 lead and soon cleared their bench to get much-deserved playing time for some young players
