1962 Cadillac

This 1962 Cadillac is a low rider, but has air suspension that lifts the front end almost two feet.
Chase Taylor wanted to buy a car for his wife Whitney. She had some very specific criteria for her dream car. It had to be old, big, long, with fins, a convertible and it had to be “sparkling” pink. “I was cool with it, with me having so many toys,” he said.
The West Point couple found a green 1962 Cadillac Series 62 in South Carolina hauled it home on a trailer. He wanted to take it for a ride as soon as they unloaded but she insisted it be painted first.
So Chase, who had never painted a car, took on a huge project, sanding and preparing land yacht for paint. She chose a custom color that she named “La Vie en Rose,” the title of a song recorded by Louis Armstrong. It means “Life in Pink,” Whitney explained.
Chase said it’s a metal flake base coat and he painted it in his garage!
It has air suspension allowing the driver to raise and lower the front end. It’s a show stopper. When he demonstrated the lift the crowd was wowed.
He liked her car so much, he bought a 1962 Fleetwood four door. Now they’re a two Cadillac family.
