Middlesex folks support Motown & Juneteenth celebrations

Many groups united to make the June 17 Evening of Motown and Friends and June 18 Juneteenth Festival a success. Organizers are extending thanks for all the support they received.

“We take great pleasure in thanking everyone that participated in the Motown event and the Juneteenth Festival,” said Davelin Gresham, a representative of Game Changers of Middlesex and Middlesex County Museum, two of the groups presenting the events.

“We give special thanks to the Middlesex Economic Development Authority, Middlesex County Board of Supervisors, Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office, Middlesex High School, St. Clare Walker Middle School, Creative Productions, Middlesex Museum and Historical Society, NAACP Middlesex Branch, Middlesex Parks and Recreation and all our talented performers and presenters!”

Gresham, a Middlesex minister, added, “Alfred North Whitehead said, ‘No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others. The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.’”
