The Middlesex County Kiwanis Club’s annual Urbanna Christmas Pet Parade (and dog show) at Taber Park in Urbanna was a hit on Saturday as dogs came from near and far dressed out and ready for Christmas.
The dogs led their owners around the park as 98th District State Del. Keith Hodges, R-Urbanna, had the enormous task of judging the winning dogs in their categories.
Santa and Mrs. Claus joined by watching the parade under a tent provided by Kiwanis. “We think everybody enjoyed it,” said Kiwanis President Nancy Fisk, “especially the dogs as each dog went home with their own toy.”
