The Boatyard at Christchurch hosted the Rappahannock Fishing Tournament Rockfish Rodeo Saturday, Oct. 23, and proceeds went to the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) as part of an annual fundraiser. The rules allowed Rappahannock River fishermen to troll or cast between the White Stone bridge and Tappahannock bridge. The top two fish were then weighed to determine a winner. The tournament had 13 boats, which raised over $2,100 for the MVFD.
