The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that motorists can expect delays on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge this Monday through Friday, April 26 through 30.
On Monday, VDOT will begin a week of routine bridge maintenance activities on the bridge crossing the Rappahannock River between Middlesex and Lancaster counties, reported Communications Coordinator Tina Bundy.
Drivers crossing the Route 3 bridge from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. will encounter the following delays:
- Monday through Wednesday, alternating single lane closure. One-way traffic on the bridge will be maintained using an automated flagging assistance device.
- Thursday through Friday, mobile lane closures on the bridge. Expect brief delays at various locations on the bridge. Expect brief traffic stops in the work zone.
