The Middlesex Youth Basketball League completed its 34th season last Saturday with its annual tournament championship games at Middlesex High School.

The Allen Group completed an undefeated season with a 37-18 win over Little Sue in the Girls Division title game. The Allen Group also won the regular season championship.

Katie Hodges had 17 points and Madison Thomas added 16 to lead The Allen Group, Jasmine Faucett and Abby Loftis each scored 2 points.

The Allen Group jumped to a 13-7 first quarter lead and controlled the game the rest of the way.

Dana Hunter tallied 10 points to lead Little Sue, Jessica Alvarado had 6, and Sarah Parker 2.

Ryman’s AC/Heating outscored Pitts Lumber 5-2 in overtime to win the Junior Boys Division tournament title 23-20.

Pitts trailed 15-14 entering the fourth quarter, but tied the game on baskets Jeffrey Jones and Spencer Crittenden.

Trey Blankenship scored 2 fourth quarter points for Ryman’s and added 3 more in overtime, and Carnel Bagby made a free throw in both the fourth quarter and the overtime. Jamel Reed also added a free throw in the overtime.

Blankenship and Jamel Reed led Ryman’s with 7 points each, Bagby had 4, Darius Washington 3, and Jaden Reed 2.

Raqua Marshall paced Pitts Lumber with 6 points, Crittenden had 5, Jones 4, Carlos Marshall 3, and Evan Pausic 2.

Thrift Oil was the regular season champion in the Junior Boys Division.

Harrow’s Home Center broke open a close game by outscoring Marshall’s Drug 17-5 in the fourth quarter en route to a 42-29 win in the championship game of the Senior Boys Division.

Brett Carter tallied 5 of his team-high 9 points for Harrow’s in the fourth quarter, and Josspin Sosa scored 6 of his 8 points in the final period. Others to score for Harrow’s were Nicholas Dixon with 6, Trevone Hooks and Jimmy Brown with 5 apiece, Sean Johnson 3, and Eder Sosa, Zach Belcher and Malik Green 2 apiece.

Brandon Shirley scored a game-high 10 points for Marshall’s Drug, Kyle McNamee and Greg Hill had 5 apiece, Kyle Lawson 4, Devonte Robertson and Gregory Robinson 2 apiece, and Hunter Davis 1.

Doc Jones Used Auto Parts was the regular season champion of the Senior Boys Division.

The youth league Coaches Game will be played at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 19, at MHS.
