Walton to wear digital highlight logo remainder of her volleyball career

Laura Walton

by Ray Rose

Middlesex High School volleyball star Laura Walton is using her smart phone to promote her play. In a click, she can show highlights of her volleyball career on her smart phone anywhere, even without wifi.

Using the free HP Reveal app on your phone is easy. Download the app, create username and password, type “SSentinel” in the search bar, choose SSentinel and click “Follow.” Scan the Venom logo on the front page and watch the highlights from Walton’s sophomore season. When the video starts, simply double tap the screen on your device, and you can take the video with you wherever you go.

Along with her All-District and All-Region honors Walton received from her performance as a sophomore on the Lady Chargers varsity volleyball team, Walton will also be among the first local athletes to carry her digital highlight reel wherever she goes. Laura will continue to play volleyball with her travel team the Virginia Venom 15s out of Williamsburg. The season will run from December 1 through June 16, 2019. She has been the starting setter for the past three years. The team consists of players from Middlesex, York and Jamestown, and is coached by Greg Koon, the head coach of the Warhill ladies volleyball team, which has won the 4A state championship three times. Walton is also a member of Venom’s national team.

The Southside Sentinel will use the Venom logo as Laura’s QR code image. The Venom logo will be with her; on her jersey, team jacket, team duffle bag, and on her keychain as she travels to places like Philadelphia, Orlando, Greensboro, and Washington, D.C. No matter where she is, she can scan the Venom logo with HP Reveal on her smart phone and show anyone her volleyball highlights anywhere; even without a wifi connection.
