Virginia Motor Speedway hosts ‘Salute to the Fallen’

All military, active or retired, admitted free

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway (VMS) returns to racing on Saturday, July 26, for VA National Guard Salute to the Fallen Tribute Night.

The night will feature the Victory Lap Late Model, Aaron’s Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in the fan favorite “Twin Race” format.

All five Virginia National Guard Dirt Series divisions will run two features each making for an exciting night of racing. To honor the country’s military, the speedway will admit all military personnel, active or retired, free with a proper ID.

Competitor gates for Saturday, July 26, will open at 4 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 5 p.m. On-track activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps, and features will start at 8 p.m.
