St. Clare Walker Middle School basketball players Carlos Marshall, Amber Self and Ziar Keyser were selected to the Independent Schools Athletic Conference (ISAC) All-Tournament Team at Christchurch School on February 21.

The St. Clare Walker boys won the tournament, and the St. Clare Walker girls finished second to Aylett Country Day School.

Marshall has stood out as a leader of the St. Clare Walker Seahawks throughout the season and did not disappoint in the championship game, according to his coaches. His anticipation for the ball allowed him to excel in steals throughout the season.

Keyser has stepped up as the starting point guard for the Seahawks. He has been consistent and a great ball handler, said his coaches.

Representing the Lady Seahawks on the All-tournament Team is Amber Self. Amber has improved throughout the season, said Lady Seahawks coach Rebecca Panis. “Amber’s confidence is up and we have really relied on her to make things happen when we have been down.

“Amber has a shot that most basketball players would die for and she has put it to great use this season,” said Panis. “Working hard and making things happen has moved Amber from being our top reserve to a starting position. Finishing the season strong is what any good player should be proud of. Well done to all three Seahawks!”
