Teen wins bowling event: qualified for nationals
Fifteen-year-old Molly Landon of Topping, a student at Middlesex High School, recently won first place in the Coventry Commonwealth Games of Virginia and qualified for national bowling competition next summer in Colorado.
Landon competed against over 500 bowlers ages 13-21 in the Commonwealth Games and came away with the gold medal.
She qualified for the Commonwealth Games through Pepsi-sponsored tournaments at Village Lanes in Gloucester, where she has bowled since age 9, and the state tournament in Norfolk.
Landon is the daughter of Betty and Willie Landon of Topping.
