On a Sunday fit for an Irishman, 19 two-person teams braved the elements to compete in Piankatank River Golf Club’s (PRGC) first tournament of the 2014 season, the St. Patty’s Day Golf Tournament. The format was captain’s choice.

After play, participants enjoyed corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, Irish meatballs, Shamrock Shooters and, of course, green beer.

Gift certificates of $35 and $25 were awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams in the three flights.

The next tournament at PRGC will be the Master’s Tournament on Saturday, April 12.
