Smith will arrive on campus wearing a highlight reel

Emilie Smith displays her digital highlight reel using HP Reveal and scanning the Shenandoah Hornets logo from a flag hung from the kitchen window.

While many of us fear technology, some of today’s youth stretch it to the limits. In fact, technology has even become fashionable, as in the case of MHS soccer and hoops star Emilie Smith.

Along with her numerous MHS awards, accomplishments, and scoring records, Smith will be the first local collegiate athlete to carry her highlight reel anywhere she goes. Emilie will be attending Shenandoah University in the fall, and the Sentinel staff has created a video display case on the cloud and will use the Shenandoah Hornets logo as Emilie’s QR code image.

Her college’s logo will be with her probably everywhere she goes, on a shirt, a keychain, a team jacket, a team duffle bag, or a sticker on her car. No matter where she is, she can scan the Hornets logo with a special app on her phone and show anyone her high school soccer and basketball highlights.

Using the free HP Reveal app on your phone, the Sentinel video display case is easily searchable. After the app has been downloaded, type ‘SSentinel’ in the search bar. Click on the top option and click ‘Follow.’ Then you, too, can begin to scan.
