The St. Clare Walker Middle School boys basketball team finished off a stellar season by winning the ISAC Tournament last week at Christchurch School.

The Seahawks (8-0, 10-4) defeated a feisty Ware Academy team 37-34 in the semifinals, and then cruised past Chesapeake Academy 41-25 in the championship game on Thursday.

“I very proud of this team,” said Seahawks coach Mikey Lewis. “They grew as a team and reached the goal we had set—to win the tournament.

“The 8th-graders on this team should be a valuable addition to the Middlesex High junior varsity program next year,” added Lewis.

Lewis thanked the St. Clare Walker (SCW) staff, the parents, assistant coach Joey Fitchett and manager Thomas Redmon for helping to make the season a success.
