Revised schedule for Little League All-Star games

The Middlesex Little League Senior League Baseball All-Stars (ages 15-16) routed Caroline 11-1 in the opening round of the District 15 Tournament on July 3.

Sunday’s second round games were cancelled due to rain.

Under the revised schedule, Middlesex will play Richmond County on Monday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. at Rappahannock High School (RHS) in Warsaw.

The winner of the Middlesex-Richmond game will play at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Essex High School against an undetermined opponent. The loser will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at RHS against an undetermined opponent.

The tournament is double elimination, and there are eight teams competing for the title and a berth in the State Tournament.

In other all-star action, the Middlesex Little League Junior League Baseball All-Stars (ages 13-14) received a first round bye and will play the winner of the Essex-Spotsylvania game on Tuesday, July 7, at 5 p.m. at the Essex Little League park.

The Lancaster Junior League Softball All-Stars, which includes some Middlesex players, will play the winner of the Mathews-King George game on Tuesday, July 7, at 6 p.m. at the Richmond County Little League park.
