Revere, Fitchett lead Middlesex Senior All-Stars to District 15 title

The Middlesex Little League Senior League All-Stars (ages 15-16) won the Virginia District 15 championship on Saturday to advance to the state tournament at Pound, which is located in Wise County on the Virginia-Kentucky border.

Middlesex allowed just 2 hits and outscored its opponents 27-0 in the tournament that was held at the Middlesex Sports Complex at Locust Hill. 

Austin Revere gave up just 2 hits in the 13-0 win over Richmond County, and Alex Fitchett hurled a no-hitter in the 14-0 rout of King George.

There are 14 teams in the state tournament. Play begins for Middlesex on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. when it battles Louisa. The championship game is on Wednesday, July 16.
