Northern Neck Rage schedules softball tryout

The Northern Neck Rage, the girls fast pitch softball organization of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, will conduct tryouts at Richmond County Little League in Warsaw on Saturday, August  15, at 9:30 a.m.

The Northern Neck Rage is entering  its 10th year of play.

The Rage will be fielding teams for 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U for the 2009-10 season.  There will be at least  12 openings for the new 12U team.  The other teams are in need of some key position players, including pitchers and catchers.  This is an excellent time to try out for the Rage.

The Rage  teams come together from more than  nine counties to satisfy their desire for higher competition, elevate their game, make new friends, and have fun.  “The competitive softball that our young ladies play takes the game to a higher level, with  more than 20 Rage alumni  moving on to play college ball,” said a team spokesperson.

The Northern Neck Rage, a 501(c)(3) organization, suggests potential players pre-register before attending a tryout.  To do so, email or call (804) 333-9399.  Much more information, including FAQs,  can be found on the Rage website at
