The Middlesex High varsity basketball team will be looking to end a losing skid this Friday, Jan. 30, when it hosts King William in a key Tidewater District game.

The Chargers (2-3, 4-12) will visit league-leading Colonial Beach on Monday, Feb. 2, and will host King and Queen Tuesday, Feb. 3, in its final home game of the season.

Last Friday, the Chargers struggled in a 60-53 home loss to West Point. MHS was within striking distance all night but could not overcome the play of Aaron Roane (20 points) and Antonio Roane (23 points) of the Pointers (2-3, 3-11).

The scoring of Malcolm Ward (21 points) kept the Chargers close until the final minute. Others to score for MHS were Nigel Rich with 9, Cody Hunter 8, Davonne Bryant 6, Sean Sutherlin 5, and Jake Fletcher and Michael Bess 2 apiece.
