MHS spring sports are in full swing

Middlesex High School (MHS) spring sports teams are busy this week.

The Charger and Lady Charger track teams will have its first home meets of the season today, March 14. MHS will host a tri-meet against King William, Lancaster and Rappahannock high schools. The meet starts at 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, March 21, the boys and girls track teams will host Carver, West Point and Mathews high schools in a 4:30 p.m. track meet on the John Lemons Memorial Track at MHS.

Due to the forecast of rain on Friday, varsity softball and baseball games have been moved to today, March 14. The JV teams will now play at 4 p.m. and varsity teams will play at 6 p.m. The Charger and Lady Charger teams can play into the night for the first time as they now have lights on their fields. MHS athletic director Matt Stamm said a bus will pick up junior varsity players at SCW at 2:45 p.m. to bring them to the games at the high school.
