MHS softball team falls to LHS, 15-3
by Tom Chillemi
The Middlesex Lady Chargers varsity softball team ran into a one-player wrecking crew in Lancaster. Red Devil shortstop Brooke “Hot Dog” Hudnall on Friday, March 15. Hudnall slammed 3 triples and had 4 RBIs in the 15-3 LHS win.
Fielding miscues and bad throws added to the Lady Charger woes.
“We need more game-type practice on offense and defense to cut down our mistakes,” said MHS coach Wade Traynham.
The Middlesex varsity will host Rappahannock on Thursday, March 21, at 5 p.m., and MHS JVs will visit the Lady Raiders for a 5 p.m. game.
On Saturday, March 23, Middlesex will play Lancaster at Dreamfields near Kilmarnock. Tentative game times are 5 p.m. for the JV and 7 p.m. for the varsity. However, game times could be moved to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Call MHS at 758-2132 for more information.
