MHS rallies past K&Q; visits West Point tonight

The Middlesex High School varsity basketball team split a pair of games in recent Tidewater District action, defeating King and Queen 59-55, and losing to undefeated Mathews, 71-42.

The Chargers scored 45 of their 59 points in the second half of the King and Queen game, while holding the Royal Tigers to just 31 points in the final half and just 9 points in the fourth quarter.

Jaden Reed exploded for 21 points to pace the Chargers on offense. Raquan Marshall had 10 points; Carlos Marshall, 9; Brandon Ward, 7; Demetre South, 6; Deandre Jessie, 4; and Elijah Darnell, 2.
