MHS players earn All-District honors

The Middlesex High School varsity football team received the Tidewater District Sportsmanship Award for outstanding sportsmanship throughout the football season.

The Chargers also had seven players to make the second unit of the All-Tidewater District football team, and six players received All-Academic honors. 

Those who made the All-Academic team were Mike Eades, Corey Keeling, Jake Pender, Scott Payne, John Walsh and Kevin Walsh. These are players who have maintained a 3.3 cumulative grade point average throughout the school year.

Players who made second team All-Tidewater District for Middlesex are Payne, defensive end; Eades, offensive tight end; Brian Engle, defensive lineman; Matt Duke, wide receiver; Brandon Eanes, tight end; Shawn Lee, kick returner; and Ronnie Watkins, running back.

The Chargers ended their season with a 1-9 overall record and 1-4 district mark.
