MHS JVS down King William
The Middlesex High JV volleyball team lost at West Point in its Tidewater District opener on October 1, but rebounded to defeat district foe King William on Tuesday.
“The girls played a great game and communicated well during the match,” said JV Lady Charger coach Jessica Morris. “A few players have really stepped up their game and are covering the court really well.”
Leading Middlesex against West Point was Maggie Bull with 7 aces, 2 digs, and 2 kills. Lauren Shores had 4 kills. Hailey Walton had 2 aces, 2 kills, and 1 assist. Carlee Browder had 1 ace, 3 digs, 2 kills, and 1 assist. Maddie Norwood had 1 ace and 3 digs. Tambria Wake had 1 ace, and 1 dig. Olivia Major had 3 digs, 1 kill, and 1 assist. Abigial Foster had 1 kill, and Meghan Shores had 1 assist.
The JV Lady Chargers (1-1, 9-3) will travel to King and Queen on Thursday, October 10. Middlesex will host Mathews on Tuesday, October 15, and West Point on Thursday, October 17.
The MHS JVs play at 6 p.m. and are followed by the varsity at 7:30 p.m.
