The JV Chargers played invading Rappahannock to a 1-1 tie on March 25. Justin Smith scored the MHS goal. The Chargers visit Rappahannock on Monday.

“This is good start and a strong follow-up to last season,” said MHS JV coach Garrett Gregory.

On March 30 in Westmoreland, the JV Chargers suffered their first loss of the season, 3-1. W&L stepped up in the second half by winning “50-50 balls” and beating the Chargers to balls in the midfield.

“Up to this point we have commanded the field and we will need to get back to that style of play in order to achieve victories in our upcoming games,” said Coach Gregory.

The Chargers will visit Rappahannock Friday, April 3; will host W&L on Monday, April 6,; and will visit Northumberland on Wednesday, April 8. JV games begin at 5:30 p.m. and varsity games begin at 7 p.m.
