The Middlesex High School (MHS) junior varsity football team defeated a big and tough King and Queen team 25-20 in a Conference 42 game on Monday night at MHS in Saluda.
The JV Chargers (4-2-1) will host Mathews at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 3, in their final game of the season.
The game culminated with a long drive to the two yard line by the Chargers late in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers defense held and MHS was unable to score.
Middlesex JV coach Aaron Dodge said, “The game was a great defensive match by both sides. We have a young team that is working hard to improve upon its mistakes and is concentrating on doing things the right way.”
