MHS hosts King William Friday night

The Middlesex Chargers boys varsity basketball team fell to powerful Lancaster 82-35 in its home opener on Thursday, November 29, at the MHS gym in Saluda.

The Chargers trailed 18-12 after the first period but Lancaster used its attacking press and fast break to pull away in the second quarter for a 50-19 halftime lead. 

Middlesex forward Jaden Reed paced Middlesex with 18 points; Andrew Bullock had 5; Nevan Johansen 4; and Shawn Jackson, Mitchell Curtiss, Wyatt Brown and Thomas Diggs added 2 apiece. 

The Chargers will host King William on Friday, December 7; will visit Carver on Tuesday, December 11; and will visit Lancaster on Wednesday, December 12. The King William and Lancaster JV games begin at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity games follow at 7 p.m. There is no JV game with Carver. The varsity game begins at 5:30 p.m.
