The exhilaration of being in the outdoors is hard to top. Free from the distractions of everyday life, an adventure-seeker has a chance to pause and reflect, deeply breathe in the fresh and invigorating air, then jump into your next adventure. What will it be?

In the last few years, Boy Scout Troop 341, out of Saluda, has offered boys ages 11 to 18 high adventure activities including navigating rope courses, challenging rock wall climbing, skiing weekends, a 60-mile kayak trip with class 3 rapids, and multiple camping expeditions.

Troop 341 meets every Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Christ Church Parish Hall in Christchurch. If you are interested in becoming a Scout or, as an adult, working with the Scouts of Troop 341, please contact Lorna Frazier-Lindsey at 758-3620.

There will be a recruitment event at St. Clare Walker Middle School on August 27, during Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. Come by and talk with some of the boys and parents involved in Scouting to learn more. You will surely have a great adventure!
