Deltas host defending champions Saturday
Wood bat baseball will return to Deltaville this Saturday, May 19, when the Deltaville Deltas kick off their 2012 campaign against the defending Southern Virginia Baseball League champion Peninsula Pirates.
The Deltas are coming off a very successful 17-6 season, and return numerous ballplayers from last summer. In addition, several new additions are set to join the Deltas for this year’s season.
This Saturday night’s home opener begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission to Deltas games is $6; children under age 12 are always admitted free. On Sunday, the Deltas visit the Pirates in a 4 p.m. contest at Jamestown High School in Williamsburg.
