Lady Chargers down Lancaster

The varsity Middlesex Lady Chargers’ bats came alive in a 7-4 win at Lancaster on May 14.

The score was knotted at 4-4 after 7 innings.

In the top of the 8th inning, Lady Charger Kayla Paulos walked with the bases loaded to bring home Amber Self to put Middlesex up 5-4. With the bases loaded, Lyndsay Greene’s line drive single to left field scored Emma McKee and Haley Harcum to give the Lady Chargers a 7-4 lead.

Paulos’ pitching shut down Lancaster in the bottom of the 8th to preserve the 7-4 win.

The King William Lady Cavaliers defeated Middlesex 9-1 on May 9.

King William collected 14 hits while pitcher Jenna Evans held the Lady Chargers to 4 hits.

Haley Harcum doubled in three at bats of MHS. Amber Self was 1 for 3 and drove in Phoebe Walsh for the Lady Chargers’ only run.

Sarah Walton and Abby Purcell were both 1 for 3.
