Lady Chargers battle Lady Pointers today

The Middlesex Lady Chargers varsity softball team fell to Nandua and Washington & Lee in the Lancaster Tournament on April 6-7.

Nandua capitalized on errors in the 15-5 win on Friday. Nandua scored 11 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the second inning to put away the game.

Lady Charger Haley Harcum went 3 for 3 and scored twice.

Adrienne Galloway had a hit and scored 2 runs. 

Lyndsay Greene had 2 RBIs and scored.

Also for Middlesex, Sarah Walton was 1 for 3, Kayla Paulos 1 for 2 and Amber Edwards 1 for 1.

On Saturday, W&L shut out Middlesex 10-0 behind pitching that struck out 9 Lady Chargers.

Middlesex was hurt by errors and was held to 3 hits. Abby Purcell went 2 for 2 and Kayla Paulos was 1 for 2.  

The Lady Chargers open the Tidewater District season at West Point on Thursday, April 12. They host Charles City on Tuesday, April 17, and King William on Thursday, April 19. Games begin at 5 p.m.
