Lady Charger harriers win; Hall sets new record

The Middlesex High girls cross-country team continued to improve on September 17 with a 15-40 win over Northumberland.
Missy Hall led the Lady Chargers with a course-record time of 21:20. Becca Walker finished 3rd in 23:07, Stephanie Hutton was 4th in 23:12, Olivia Cloud was 5th in 24:05, and Lindsay Harrow was 6th in 24:11.
The boys fell 15-40 to a strong Indians team. The five Charger runners scoring points were Kevin Walsh, 21:04; Jeremiah Morris, 21:17; Austin Bushong, 21:30; Mark Hall, 21:33; and John Walsh, 21:53.
Both teams ran against King William on September 24 at RCC-Glenns and will run at the McDonald’s Maymont CC Festival this Saturday, September 27.
Other upcoming meets for Middlesex are Wednesday, October 8, at home against Northumberland and Washington & Lee; Wednesday, October 15, at Mathews with West Point; and Wednesday, October 22, Tidewater District Cross Country Championships.
