Kevin Walsh was the top runner for the Chargers. He finished seventh overall with a time of 18:47. This was the first time K. Walsh has broken 19 minutes in a 3.2-mile race. During the award ceremonies, K. Walsh was named to the 2008 Tidewater All-District Team.
“Kevin ran his best race of the year,” said MHS coach Bill Murray. “The boys are coming along and peaking at the right time. Every runner ran his personal best time at the district meet.”
John Walsh was the second finisher for the Chargers and 15th overall with a time of 19:49.
Mark Hall was 16th in 19:51; Austin Bushong finished 18th in 20:03; Jeremiah Morris, 19th, 21:06; Alex Pratt, 20th, 21:15; and Greg Dorsey, 24th, 23:05.
The Chargers ran in the Region A Meet yesterday, October 29, at the Eastern State Hospital course.
