JV Lady Chargers hand LHS first loss

The Lady Red Devils came to Middlesex with a 3-0 record, having defeated James Monroe, Mathews and West Point.
The Lady Red Devils used a press to try to rattle the Lady Chargers, but it was not enough and Middlesex led 18-14 at halftime.
Joey Stinchcomb and Nila Robinson came off the bench for MHS and contributed to both the offense and defense. Robinson and Stinchcomb led the MHS scoring with 6 points each.
Jessica Dixon with 5 points for Middlesex, Bridgette Self 4, Heather Blankenship 2, and Brittin Payne hit a free throw.
The JV Lady Chargers also won at Essex 33-22 on Tuesday to improve their record to 3-0.
The MHS JV and varsity teams will host Rappahannock tonight, December 17, in their final game before the holidays. JV games are at 6 p.m. and varsity games follow at 7:30 p.m.
