JV Lady Chargers fall to Lady Trojans
The Middlesex High JV volleyball team lost at Essex 25-6 and 25-9 on September 11.
MHS had trouble passing. “We couldn’t set up our offense,” said coach Jessica Morris. “The girls had a tough time with different lineups during the games and couldn’t seem to focus on the basics.”
During the game, Austen-Taylor Dozier, Olivia Major and Tambria Wake all served an ace for the Lady Chargers.
The team was happy to welcome freshman Carlee Browder, who will be playing in the middle hitter position. The JV Lady Chargers were without middle hitter Dana Hunter who sustained an ankle injury during a recent practice.
Middlesex traveled to Lancaster on Wednesday, September 19, and will host Rappahannock on Thursday, September 20. Middlesex opens Tidewater District play against visiting West Point on Tuesday, September 25. The JVs play at 6 p.m. and varsity follows at 7:30 p.m.
Middlesex’s scheduled volleyball games against Lancaster on Tuesday was rescheduled for September 19.
