JV Chargers lose twice

The Middlesex High School junior varsity basketball team lost two games in mid-December—a 59-30 loss to Northumberland and a 46-44 overtime loss to Mathews.

On December 18, the Chargers came close to beating Mathews as Camren Hammond paced Middlesex with 21 points. Austin Hall contributed 9 points and Mike Hammond scored 8. Geion Reed, Phillip Hart and Brandon Barney had 2 points apiece.

Against the Northumberland Indians on December 19, Malachi Dandy was high scorer for the Chargers with 10 points. M. Hammond had 9 points; C. Hammond, 5; Michael Barney, 4; and B. Barney had 2 points.
