JV Chargers finish 8-0 in district play

by Larry S. Chowning

The Middlesex High School JV boys basketball team went undefeated in Tidewater District action this year and won the district championship.

In its final game of the season last Friday, the Chargers downed King and Queen 50-19.

“We accomplished our goal,” said first-year head coach Jason Williams. “I’m so excited for those guys. They worked hard, set a goal, and went out and accomplished it.

“It was truly a team effort,” said Williams. “Everybody contributed over the season and worked as a team, understanding that not one person wins a basketball game. It was a team effort.”
