JV Chargers finish 6-3 in district

The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys junior varsity basketball team had two Tidewater District wins this week—33-32 over King and Queen and 31-24 over Mathews. The JV Chargers finished their Tidewater District regular season with a 6-3 record. 

In the win against King and Queen, Cassidy Ward scored 13 points to pace MHS on offense. Talon Cheatham tallied 7 points; Camren Hammond, 5; Alex Bullock, 4; and Shawn Jackson and Matthew Hart, 2 points apiece.

Against Mathews, Ward scored 8 points; Hammond, Jackson and M. Hart, 4 points apiece; Bullock, 3; Cheatham, 2; and Jakim Lomax and Bryan Diggs contributed a point each.
