The Middlesex High School varsity soccer team lost 4-1 to King William on Monday in Tidewater District action at MHS in Saluda.

The Chargers were paced by Enrique Gonzalez and Zack Halstead. Gonzalez scored Middlesex’s only goal and Halstead had 15 saves as the goal keeper.

“Zack kept us in the game,” said MHS coach Chris Walker. “We lost to King William 8-0 the first time we played them and they are a very good team, but we are showing good improvement.”

The Chargers will travel to West Point on Monday, May 13, to complete their regular season. The MHS junior varsity team will host West Point on Friday, May 10.
