Ellis cruises to 3rd straight district title

Middlesex High junior Ridge Ellis won his third straight Tidewater District Conference boys cross-country championship on October 30 with a time of 17:13 on the 3.2-mile course at Eastern State in Williamsburg.

Jacob Self was MHS’s second top runner, 20:07; Simon Urban, third, 20:37; Bobby Nazrini, fourth, 21:19; Kyle Forst, fifth, 22:04; Tanner Johannsen, sixth, 22:55; and Tarik Audain, seventh, 24:33.

Mathews won the meet, West Point was second, and Middlesex third.

The Chargers will run in the Region A meet on Thursday, November 7, at Eastern State in Williamsburg. 

At the last regular season meet on October 23 at King William, Ellis won in 18:19; Self, fifth, 20:55; Urban, ninth, 21:09; Forst, 12th, 21:37; Nazrini, 18th, 23:12; Will Howard, 22nd, 23:31; Audain, 24th, 23:49; Chad Page, 29th, 24:17; Johnathon Williams, 33rd, 25:14; Brett Fochtmann, 38th, 27:40; and Luke Robertson, 41st, 29:55.
