‘Drive Against Hunger’ golf tourney slated for Oct. 26

On Friday, October 26, at the Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield, Hands Across Middlesex will hold a golf tournament in support of its fight against hunger in Middlesex. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to support the feeding programs at Hands including: the BackPackBuddy program in Middlesex schools that provides meals to children on weekends; the CSFP program that provides supplemental monthly food for seniors at risk; and the Hands Across Middlesex Food Pantry.

“Please consider supporting this most important program in our county. You can enter a team, provide a sponsorship or a prize for the event, or volunteer to help on tournament day,” said an event spokesperson.

For more information or to help, call Cullen Walker at 804-539-4771.
