Deltas win twice; to host Tigers Saturday

The Deltaville Deltas dropped their first game of the season last Tuesday, but bounced right back with two decisive victories, downing the Tappahannock Tides 10-0 on the road and the Richmond Orioles 12-1 on Saturday night in Deltaville. With the wins, Deltaville improved to 7-1 on the season, and sits just above Richmond Team Woody (8-2) in league standings.

The Deltas return home this Saturday night, July 7, for a special night at Deltaville Ballpark, as the Deltas will help celebrate the 350th anniversary of the founding of Middlesex County when they take the field against the Richmond Tigers. Between innings all fans in attendance will get birthday cupcakes in celebration of the historic anniversary, in an event organized by the Middlesex County Museum. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
